FAQ'S

  • How long have you owned and bred Brittanys?
In 1989 we acquired our first Brittany as a gift from my uncle to our children. In 1992 we raised our first litter of puppies. Over the next few years we developed a desire to raise fine bred gun dogs/family pets. In 1997 we acquired two daughters of AFC American Field Champion Windagail’s Last Trade and that was the year we began selectively breeding quality Brittanys. In 2001, we purchased Rebel Jac’s A Hammerin' Dandy. Over the years we have had several of our dogs complete their AKC championship.
  • How often do you usually have litters?
While we still prioritize the quality of our program, over the last several years, we have reduced the quantity of the dogs we are breeding. At this point, we will usually have a litter of puppies in the early spring and fall.
  • Do you belong to any dog or hunting organizations?
We are members of the Northern Virginia Brittany Club. All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club.
  • Do you compete or hunt with your dogs?
Many of our dogs compete on a state level for their Junior and Master Hunt titles. There are also AKC champions that have come from Stonewall Brittany’s over the last several years. Our desire is to produce a Brittany that is brilliant in the field and is attractive doing it.
  • Would I be able to visit your kennels and see your dogs?
We invite the public to visit our facilities by appointment.
  • How much do your puppies cost?
While the price depends on the sire and dam of the puppy, our puppies generally sell for around $1,000, whether male or female. We have had litters that are priced higher due to championship bloodlines. Please feel free to reach out with specific questions. Deposits are half of the full price, with the balance due at pickup. We require that puppies be registered with AKC; basic registration fees are $39 made payable by the new owner directly to AKC.
  • What is your puppy selection process?
Our puppies are made available to prospective buyers on a first-come, first-served basis. We have found this method to be the fairest approach. Deposits are required to hold your place, and if for unknown circumstances you cannot fulfill your obligation, we will return your deposit. We do provide advice with regard to puppy temperament and socialization within their ranks. The ultimate decision in selection will always rest with the buyer.
  • What types of payment do you accept?
We take cash, check, or Venmo payments.
